January Favourites

Here are the links to my January favourites:

Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner.  I keep going back to this shampoo and conditioner.  It makes me feel like I’ve just had my hair washed at the salon every time I use it.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation. Make sure you are matched correctly for your skin tone with any foundation you purchase.  I personally like applying this foundation with a brush.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner.

The combo of Mac lipliner in Spice and lipstick in Velvet Teddy.

Aveda Beautifying Body Moisturizer with uplifting aroma.  This is the perfect moisturizer to use after a nice long bath.  This is not my daily moisturizer because it is expensive but it is as close as I get to going to the spa these days.

These are not cheap purchases, but spending the money initially on quality products will save you money in the long run by lasting longer.

It’s that time again!

Monday night catch up

It was a busy weekend around here but both boys are fast asleep and I have a minute to catch up with you all :). I miss blogging more regularly but uninterrupted time is hard to find. I’ve just started a new semester at school, I’m working a few days a week and am trying to get around to all the projects I’d like to do in the house. I have so many ideas for posts I’d like to work on for the blog but, knowing that time is limited, I’ll combine a few of them here.

I did actually get around to doing one of the projects I wanted before Christmas. Here’s my DIY chicken wire card/photo holder. It was a fun and easy project to make and it was the perfect place to hang our Christmas cards over the holidays.

Here’s the link to the set of instructions I followed.

Here are the links to some of the Pinterest recipes we’ve tried and liked lately.

Baked Parmesan Zucchini

Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Sweet Potatoes and Bacon

Cheesy Potato Breakfast Casserole

Moms!!! Have you guys ever seen this stuff? It’s awesome. I asked one of the mom groups I’m part of for their opinions on a bubble bath that’s not full of chemicals and this product by Lush was mentioned quite a few times. Owen loves it. It’s like play dough that can be used as bubble bath, soap, shampoo, changes the colour of the water and makes your child smell delicious. Go check it out if you haven’t already.

Hope you all had a great night watching The Bachelor.  Talk to you later.

2015

image

My best nine pictures according to 2015bestnine.com .  I’d say they nailed it. My boys and cupcakes. All my favourite things :).

2015 was an amazing year. We survived depot and became home owners. Hubby is now loving his job and we couldn’t be happier with our place. Owen is growing everyday and we still stare at him in disbelief that we were given such a precious gift.

I loved 2015. I’m sad to see it go. My little family accomplished so much and I am so proud of us.

I’m sure 2016 will hold challenges as well as wonderful new adventures and I will face both with a thankful heart.

imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageWe hope you all had a beautiful 2015 and look forward to sharing 2016 with you.
