Staying Put!

For the first time in over two years I feel like I can settle into the place where we are living. We finally got the news we were hoping for. Our detachment is in and we don’t have to move! My husband has been posted to a detachment within driving distance from our place and we couldn’t be more excited. Our lives have been up in the air ever since my hubby started the interview process with the RCMP so it is such a nice feeling to finally be able to plan for the future and know where we will be living.

It is crazy to think that in 33 days Owen and I will be on our way to daddy’s graduation and hopefully, as long as we don’t get news that he will have to work in Ottawa, we will get to be a family together under one roof in 36 days. I can’t believe that this time of being separated is almost over. I remember thinking on the first day of this that February 23rd would take a lifetime to get to but lately the weeks are flying by.

The only things left to figure out is if we are going to Ottawa for a couple months, which we will hopefully find out in the next couple weeks, and what to wear to the grad dinner. How am I suppose to wear a dress and heels in -30 without freezing to death? I might just show up in a parka and snow pants.

Anyways I hope you all had a great weekend. As soon as Owen is up from his nap we are off to the grocery store to get stuff to make a couple Mexican crock pot dinners.  Ill let you know if they are worth trying but in the meantime here are the links to the great recipes we tried last week, Low Calorie Foil Baked Salmon and Crock Pot Apple Crisp.

Happy Monday!
